President Obama announced he is for same-sex marriage shortly after North Carolina, a key political swing-state in the presidential race, marked its 32nd political victory for traditional marriage supporters by approving a marriage amendment defining marriage solely as a union between a man and a woman, and in California, a controvesial bill that would make it illegal for parents to hire a therapist for a minor child who struggles with same-sex attraction.
